Mounting a Pheasant

This is a pheasant that I mounted recently.

This is the pheasant after it has been skinned.  It is ready to be degreased before it can be mounted.

The pheasant is now in the process of being mounted.  The form is the bright yellow foam in the picture.

The pheasant is still in the process of being mounted.  It is easier to sew the pheasant if it is hanging up.

The pheasant is now in the finishing stages.  To get the bird to look right, everything must be aligned correctly.  This mount is a flying mount, so the wings must be stretched to the right proportions.

The mount is now ready for drying.  Drying takes several days.
